Stock Development is a development company headed up by Karl Heinz Stock, founder, and manager of Quinta dos Vales, the leading winery in the Algarve. A German banker with his professional background in Moscow’s development industry, who with his partner at the time co-founded the first real estate development company of the post-soviet era with nearly 4.000 employees directly and indirectly involved. He has lived in Portugal since 1996, and since 2006 has been professionally active throughout the country. He has invested into a variety of sectors, from real estate, to print media, to machine manufacturing, air conditioning and pool maintenance, stone processing, construction as well as many others. To properly take advantage of these varied investments Mr. Stock decided to found a real estate development company in the Algarve. Most of the suppliers working on Mr. Stock’s developments are his partners in their respective fields of specialization, guaranteeing quality and reliability. On the operative side, Mr. Stock and his team have managed Quinta dos Vales for over a decade, in this time developing it from a private estate to one of the cultural reference points of the region, with over 40 beds in rental and over 30.000 day-visitors per year.
His partner in Carvoeiro Gardens is Paul Henri Schelfhout. Mr. Schelfhout has over 25 years of experience in real estate, focused on deal making (M&A sale side, joint ventures), private equity (equity financing), venture capital (analysis of high potential companies), public market investment (small equity stakes in publicly traded global companies) and related financial transactions. With €100 million worth of completed Real Estate transactions including commercial, residential and touristic. Expert in urban planning and licensing. Mr. Schelfhout holds the position of president in Finangeste, Lda, an asset management company whose core business is the recovery and management of complex NPLs and REO conversions.
